1. LOCATION & FACILITIES:  Nehemia University is a private institution of higher education. We are located in Buçimas (Pogradec). Modern facilities of high standard offer: Spacious and comfortable rooms with central heating (by solar energy), ventilation, 24h water and electricity and a high quality sports ground. Students can use a digital library, E-learning modules, computer studio, W-LAN access etc. Classrooms are equipped with latest presentation technology for live internet teaching, voice translation and the use of modern media.

2. FACULTIES: Nehemia University starts with two faculties: Humanities and Business & Technology.

3. RECTOR: Dr. Alexander von Freyhold is Rector of Nehemia University (Sept. 2009)

4. LANGUAGE: The main academic language is English, additional Albanian and German are recommended.

5. LICENSE: We are officially licensed by the Albanian government having received approval from the Minister's Cabinet with Decision no. 830 on 4 June 2008.

6. ACCREDITATION: Nehemia University works according to the Bologna Agreement. Accreditation will be sought in Albania, the EU and the U.S.

7. LIBRARY: We are building a cooperative relationship with the Bavarian State Library in Munich, Germany, which has access to more than 25 million volumes.

8. SUPPORT: The association "Friends of NEHEMIA" in Germany supports the University by fundraising, PR and the coordination of contacts with academics all over the world. Professors of renown support us in the advisory council, among others: Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Lobkowicz (Director of ZIMOS Institute at Eichstätt University), Prof. Dr. Marian Heitger (former director of the Pedagogical Institute at Vienna University, Austria), Prof. Dr. Dietmar Herz (Director of Erfurt School of Public Policy), Dr. Georg von Schnurbein (Director of CEPS, Basel University, Switzerland).

The idea of Nehemia University is also supported by the former Bavarian minister of science, research and arts, Dr. Thomas Goppel and the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.

We have cooperative academic relationships with LIBERTAS European Institute, DUA (the German University in Armenia, Yerevan), AKAD (Die Privathochschulen GmbH, Stuttgart/Germany), and the YMCA University for Applied Sciences (Kassel/Germany).
